Affirming Yourself in the Word of God; Day 5.

The God who reigns forever as Your hope & strong deliverer will strengthen your heart as you wait on Him.

As I wait on the Lord and am courageous, God will strengthen my heart. -Psalm 27:14

To wait on the Lord means to claim the promises of God with faith as you rest in what He is doing in your life. Whatever it is that you're waiting on today, rest assured that God is fully aware of it. He hears your prayers and He knows your heart. Don't think that just because you haven't received an answer that God is not fully present with you. He is with you and for you. Don't give up and don't stop believing. Instead, stay full of hope. God's power is limitless and He desires to use it for your good. Sometimes, what's best for us in God's eyes does not match up with what's best for us in our eyes. Learn to be okay with this. He created you. Let Him reveal the life that He desires for you to have.

Paul serves as a great example in Philippians 4:11-12. He wrote: "I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need."

Your waiting season is a great time to continue seeking God. Spend time in the Word, in prayer, and in meditation. These things will help you grow in your patience and trust in God's promises for your life. Focus on things to be thankful for as you seek to find contentment in the Lord and His timing. Ladies, God does not want you to be miserable while you wait for what it is that your heart desires, so don't be. Seek joy in the midst of your waiting season and entrust the desires of your heart to the One who placed them within you. God will equip you with what you need to keep going during your waiting season, so take what He gives and use it for His good and His glory! The meaning is in the waiting, and God does not delay. May you continue to keep walking, trusting, and waiting in confidence today.
