I was sitting in my friends’ basement, my ears and eyes locked on the screen before me, a beautiful passionate Australian woman’s voice was being live streamed from the Passion Conference right into that basement. I remember every word of Christine Caine’s sermon from that night but the words that seemed to make the biggest impact on my life were these; there is not a shortage of Christians, there is a shortage of workers.

I sat there, still, letting those words sink into every fiber of my being. Workers. We are the Lords workers. My sleepy, comfortable Believer bones began to awaken at that moment..t\.the moment when I realized what my life had been missing. We have a job to do as daughters of the King. Jesus’ last command is for us to go out among the nations and spread the gospel. This should be our first priority.

Matthew 9:37-38 sums this concept up perfectly, “Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. There are so many people in this world, in our neighborhoods, in our schools, that do not have a relationship with Christ. So is that our field? Yes. Where you are right now is your mission field. Make it your mission to go out among the nations and spread the gospel, right where you are.

Reach out and speak out. Make yourself uncomfortable. Ask the Lord daily, “What can I do to serve You? Find your field. I promise there will never be a dull moment and you will undoubtedly witness the power of God like you’ve never seen before.

It's time to get to work ladies. Let’s brush our hair, put that lipstick on, slip on those heels (or more comfortable shoes), and accomplish what we were born to do. Let us witness together people falling in love with our King. Praise Jesus!

About the Author

Christian Fisher is eighteen years old and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. However, her heart lies wherever there are tall skyscrapers and sidewalks overflowing with people. Her first love is her Lord and Savior. She has given Him her every move and waits on Him daily to whisper into her heart (even though sometimes it sounds more like a roar). Christians second love is coffee, preferably in a cozy café with towers of Bible commentaries spread out on the top of the table. Christian is a bit sassy but passionate in spreading the love of God to everyone she encounters.
