Sometimes it’s hard to trust God’s timing. There are certain things each of us are praying for and sometimes we begin to fix it ourselves instead of waiting on God. We can’t see how God is moving in the supernatural, so we doubt what He is doing in the natural. We think we are helping God by taking matters into our own hands when we need to trust the One who is holding the pen and writing our story.

I struggled with this and still do because I’m a problem solver. If I have a problem, I jump to fix it right away. As I became a Christian, the concept of waiting on God was hard for me. I’ve learned to trust God’s timing in many ways and each time God has provided in a tremendous way. I prayed for Godly friends and God led me to small groups where I made the best friends of my life! Now as I continue to pray for His will in my life and for my future husband, I have no doubt that if I will wait on Him, He will provide in ways I couldn’t have imagined.

So whatever you’re praying for, trust God’s timing and trust the promises he made you. Seek Him first and pray for His will over your own and He will surprise you every time. If you aren’t sure if something is God’s will, check it against scripture. If it doesn’t agree with His Word, then it’s not from Him.
Be willing to surrender it all to God and let go. Let God fight your battles. Pray daily and read his living word. Keep your focus on eternity. Lastly, remember this verse as a promise from God:

No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him. -1 Corinthians 2:9 (NLT)
