Set his seal of ownership on us, and put his spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. -2 Corinthians 1:22

Growth is occurring though deceptive it may be,
I am growing into not who I was but who I am meant to be.
Chlorophyll disappears and I am changing.
Color begins to fade, a promise has been made.
Though I may fall I will sprout anew come springtime.
Look around you all the trees are speaking of the promise set upon them back in Spring,
The beauty of the process eludes to one greater than we.
Our Creator is always watching as we develop,
Knowing who we are to be.
And come December, my leaves found only on the ground.
I will sleep with a peaceful snowy sound,
Trusting Spring will arrive, blossoms new to be found.
Growth is occurring though deceptive it may be,
I am growing into not who I was but who I am meant to be
beauty in the process, beauty in the promise
I am bright and vibrant, my colors they reflect the one who made me.
A promise set upon,
Sealing me to the one in whom I belong.
Beauty of the season, beauty in the metamorphosis.
Ownership, as a promise to whom I belong.
Chlorophyll disappears and I am changing.
