Disappointment. No one likes it. I never want to feel it. I don’t want to disappoint others, not even myself. We hold ourselves to certain standards, and we hold others to those same standards. We forget that one thing is certain.

There will be disappointment no matter what.
In a fallen world, there will be disappointment, mistakes, and feelings of failure. Our favorite, most beloved people will say or do something we didn’t expect. We ourselves will say or do something we never intended to do. We knew better. We could have tried harder. We could have lowered our expectations. We could have done a great many things. But, it’s inevitable.

Only one person in this world will never disappoint, The God of the Heavens.

He hung the moon, He lights up the sky, He knits together life, He showers the earth for growth, He hears every prayer, He sees every heart and yet He still never disappoints.

Nothing can separate us from Him. He is always faithful. When we think that He’s disappointing us, He’s not, He is simply keeping our best interest at heart. He walks beside us, knows all the right words to say, and comes through when no one else seems to.

He’s there when no one else is, listens when we can’t even hear ourselves think, and never leaves us. We can push through, mend the heart, be our best, and still know the Lord walks with us and loves us deeply.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors thorough him who loved us, For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. –Romans 8:37-39

May we forever find our value in the God of the Heavens.
