Daily Delight

My husband and I started renting a house 3 months before we got married, and neither of us lived in the house during that time. When people asked where we were living, I described the house as a really expensive storage unit. People would look at me like I was...weird. Well, because we were, and that is exactly what God calls us to be! Set apart, different, to live in this world but not be of it.

I love my husband for all the nights we didn't spend together, for the night that we said yes to forever, that was our first to share together in our home. Since that moment, we are learning how to live together, love together, and laugh together.

We are in this world but not of it. Called to be outsiders, set apart for our Lord.

Our journey to Happily Ever After began after the close of the book, after the celebration had ended and the dress was returned to the closet. We are learning what true love looks like, living in a world full of evil and sin. We are learning how to be set apart and continue to walk in grace as the Lord permits us.

We are daily challenged to be the outsiders - praying instead of hating, speaking truth instead of hurtful darts with our words, staying faithful to the wedding vows we proclaimed.

We are in this world but not of it. Called to be outsiders, set apart for our Lord.

I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world-John‬ ‭17:15-18‬ ‭NKJV‬
