Some days can feel completely overwhelming. When looking at all the tasks ahead, we can start to play out everything in our heads. We make our long mental checklists and worry thinking "How can I possibly get through this week?"

However, when we fix our eyes on our loving all-sufficient Savior, on our glorious God who has the power to calm the seas and calm our hearts... We begin to put things in perspective.

It's like God is saying "Lay down your checklist, child, and your many plans. Lay down your dreams and your worries. I know what is best for you. I am the One who created you. Just trust me"

When we set our gaze on Jesus all things fall into place. We can simply rest in His embrace. Instead of worrying about the future, we can live fully in each moment. Instead of depending on our own efforts we realize we can lay everything at the feet of our Mighty God.

Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! -Luke 12:24(ESV)

Today, even if you're feeling you don't have the time to rest…Lay your worries, your concerns, and your fears at the feet of Our Lord. Tell Him what you are feeling and ask Him for help.

He desires to be a part of your day. He desires that you rely on Him in each moment. He's waiting for you to turn everything over to Him so that He may bless you with the fullness of His grace, His peace that surpasses understanding, His perfect provision, & His captivating love.

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. -Isaiah 55:8-9(NIV)

Spending time with the Lord gives us perspective. His thoughts are higher than ours. He is all-knowing, seeing much more than we can even understand. Just a moment spent in His presence will help us to go through our days seeing more clearly and loving more fully.
