The word thanksgiving describes the grateful acknowledgment of past mercies.

That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all Your wondrous works. -Psalm 26:7

Experiencing the loving-kindness of God reminds us time and time again about just how good He has been.

I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify Him with thanksgiving. -Psalm 69:30

Even when life throws a few curve balls, and it's a choice to praise God for His faithfulness, it doesn't take long before our act of faith turns our heart around. The Holy Spirit is so gracious to whisper,"If He did it once, He'll do it again.”

Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving. -Psalm 95:2

I’ve been in a season of life where thankfulness seems to be the last thing on my mind. I’ve felt burdened and heavy. While reading through my journal I realized the mercies of my past. It wasn’t difficult to say Thank You after reading them.

I will give thanks to you with all my heart, O Lord my God. I will honor you forever because your mercy toward me is great. -Psalms 86:12-13

What mercies is God reminding you of that lead you to Thankfulness?
