Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength (Isaiah 40:28–29, ESV)

God is not like us. He’s everlasting; we have short, finite life spans. He never gets tired; we range from drowsy to sleep deprived. He never feels overwhelmed; we are drowning in demands. I'm in a season in my life where I can't get out of bed without rolling to my knees in the morning. I wonder if anyone else has ever felt this way? I'm so dependent on Jesus to hold my thoughts captive, make my feet walk, and move (or shut!) my lips right now. It's a great place to be and a hard place for me. Are you dependent on Him? He is not like us. When our humanness fails us, the spirit of the Living God sustains us. Are you seeking Him to sustain you? Let Him do the work today, girls. He wants to.
