What situation is pressing you currently? Are you tempted to flee the circumstance? Maybe you feel that whatever you are dealing with isn’t important. Maybe everything would just be better if you forgot about it, moved on, or tried something new? But maybe that situation is exactly the test the God is putting you through for a divine reason.

Sometimes, when trouble comes, we want to flee the situation.

But we are not of those who shrink back and are destroyed, but of those who believe and are saved. - Hebrews 10:39(NIV) We were not made to shrink back, but to rise above.  To rise above our situations with faith and obedience.

These situations come in many forms: It could be a person in your life that is hard to love and you feel like giving up because they never appreciate your efforts to love them. It may be a job you have that seems insignificant and you’re feeling like it doesn’t matter. It may be in a class or on a team where you feel ignored and mistreated. Whatever situation you’re in you have two options: to trust God or to run away.

When we trust God in these trials He will be faithful to us. He will produce a harvest from our obedience. From each seed that we sow.

Stay obedient in your time of testing and be faithful with what God is entrusting to you now. Because the small acts of faithfulness will prepare you to be faithful when you are given the responsibility of the things you are working towards.

And when we are lacking the faith we need, we can declare God’s truth over our lives. God responds to us not because of our morality or even our amount of faith, but because of His grace. He is with us. In everything. Always. He shall be our strength. But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness”. Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly in about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. - 2 Corinthians 12:9(NIV)

Ultimately, in all we do we should seek to bring glory to God. By doing this we overcome our trials because we recognize it’s not about us. And we trust God because we believe His plan is perfect and His promises are true.
