I have a confession to make: I am an undercover perfectionist. I strive for my work to be flawless, my belongings to be organized, and my days to be seamless. But, when I'm dedicated to being perfect, I can never be content with what I'm doing. I'm constantly critical of myself and always striving to do better.

We all strive for bigger and better things to try to prove something to ourselves more than to others.

However, God doesn't ask us to be perfect, He is perfect and flawless for us. If you are frustrated with your flaws, then be honest with God. Ask Him to help you see how He works through your flaws and accept your flaws as God's way of keeping you dependent upon Him.

My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
-2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

I live in the power of the grace of God and I give myself permission not to be perfect!
