It has not been easy lately. Just when I think I'm going to crumble, God pulls through for me. Each time I'm surprisingly thankful as if He doesn't always do that! My anxiety was on high yesterday and I was talking myself into a deep, dark whole when I read this quote from Martin Luther. He said: "Whatever your heart clings to and confides in, that is really your God."

Here's the deal: I was letting these things, people, situations, dictate my feelings, emotions, reactions, and behavior. These things were becoming my God - my heart was clinging to them. Can anyone relate? What takes up the most room in your thought life?

Philippians 4:6 says, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." We know this verse. But do we really believe it? Anxiety happens for me when I try to control a situation instead of letting God do what He's best at:
handling it for me

Who, or what, is your God?
Who, or what, is your heart clinging to and confiding in?

I will choose Jesus today.
Who's with me?
