We're a week into the New Year which means for some it may be losing its shininess. In the back of our minds we know a new year won't magically change everything, but we can't help but think that it might. New years are magical and hold promise. Most likely though, your life in January is more or less the same as it was in December.

This can be disappointing. Maybe you built up this grand idea in your mind that this year would be the year, yet it's been a week and nothing has happened. Or maybe you’ve stuck with your resolution but you know that it will take weeks or even months to see results and you're tired.

Tired of waiting. Tired of being patient. Tired of expectations. Tired of disappointment.
When we are tired, disappointed, or feeling helpless the best thing to do is lean on God.

Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. - Matthew 11:28 (NIV)

Maybe the first week of 2016 wasn't what you imagined. Maybe problems from last year still haven't been resolved. Maybe you're tired. Take the problems and your tiredness and lean on God. He will carry you until you're no long tired.
