God has placed eternity within us. One day we will see the soil of earth turned to streets of gold. Faces once lost to us will again be with us. Newness shall welcome us as dust falls away. No more will our flesh wage against us, or our hearts fail. The sin, the pain, the brokenness will be forgotten and far from us.

Gentle eyes of fire will be set upon us, our faith finally made into sight. In awe and wonder, we will at last be in the presence of the Most High. Praise and adoration will echo out of our very being. We will see the true victor in this life, we will be face to face with our Maker.

This is our destiny. Pilgrims and sojourners is all that we are because we were designed for a place we haven't yet seen. Knowing that our end here is just the beginning of life takes away the power this world has. As we see the earth aging by the day, our home in Heaven is being diligently prepared for us by Jesus.

If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. -Colossians 3:1, 2 (NKJV)

Called to different things here in our temporary home, one day He will call us all to where we truly belong. I don't want to miss the potential that God has set up for me to fulfill but I also do not want my feet planted on this shaken ground. No matter the season you are in, don't forget that we are just passing through. To get too comfortable here is a sure path to becoming blinded by things that don't matter. Invest in Jesus, in His people, and in the things that He would call you to do. Everything in this life will pass away and what we will be left with is the Lord and the treasures we stored in the interim. {photo: @bethno13}
