Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that openly profess his name. -Hebrews 13:15

Just like fruit is sweet and pleasing to our taste, praise is sweet and pleasing to the Lord. It is easy to praise God when life is full of successes and joy. However, the difficulty begins when life hands us rejection, and in turn, praising God becomes harder. Our praises must never cease. I can only imagine how big our Heavenly Father smiles when He hears His children proclaim His name. Envisioning Him with arms wide open accepting our loving praises makes me, as a believer, incandescently happy. Because of the beautiful blessings God provides in my life, I feel satisfied when I am given opportunity to please Him through my endless praise. We can lift the Lord’s name at any time because of the love He demonstrated through Jesus. Continually offering our praises means at all times, even through the tough times. We serve a good God. We serve a perfect God. We serve a loving God. He is always worthy of our continuous praises. Proclaiming His name aloud helps us be more aware of His continuous presence in our lives. Allowing our praises to roll off our tongues and leak from our lips lifts up the Heavenly name of the utmost High. What an honor it is to sweetly praise our living God through the fruit of the lips.

I encourage us to all praise Him this morning with our lips. Tell Him He is good. Thank Him for this day. Speak kindly to Him as we stand in His presence and allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us. Let us show Him how gracious we are of his never-ending love.

Hope Boyd
≫ ≫This 19-year-old gal receives the honor of calling Clarksville, TN, home. Hope Lauren is in her sophomore year at Austin Peay State University and works part-time for a local coffee shop inside of a beautiful antique marketplace in her hometown. When she is not knee deep in the Word of God, Hope can be found grabbing coffee within a 100-mile radius (she loves to coffee shop hop) or on any trail--as she frequently takes hiking trips to the mountains in the eastern part of her beloved state. Hope will only be calling the United States home for three more months; she will be moving to Ethiopia to serve as a field director for a non-profit that advocates child sponsorship and cares for the orphans in Africa. She is thrilled to be spending her last few months in the States with the Daughter of Delight ministry and can hardly wait to see what the Lord has in store for everyone this season.
