I am going through a season. You know.. one of those seasons where nothing makes sense, you question everything, exhaustion is your middle name, doubt fills your mind constantly, and life is hard. Some days I feel like there is no escaping this. I don't know how long this season will last, and I am trying to remain faithful as I walk through it.

When Jesus met the woman at the well, he was merely looking for a place to rest and a drink to satisfy him in the heat of the day. The Samaritan woman, ostracized by the community, wanted to draw water for her home alone, outside of the social gathering that drawing water brought. Jesus was weary, hungry, thirsty, and tired - do you see the humanity? But Jesus, despite it all, offered assistance to the Samaritan woman. Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” -John 4:13-14

Jesus accepted this woman where she was. He valued her. His assistance would sustain her eternally.
In this season, I need Jesus' assistance. I can't do it all on my own. I'm reminded that Jesus will meet you where you are, despite your doubt and confusion. Drink in the living water.
