She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. -Proverbs 31:26

Dear Mom,

Today is your day. As we look to the women that have meant so much to us throughout the course of our lives, I look to you and see someone who deserves to feel nothing short of truly loved and fully celebrated.

Mom, the Lord created this day with you in mind. And let me tell you why:

As I get older, I realize more and more with each day just how much you have done for me throughout the course of my life. Your heart is a true patchwork of love and a beautiful reflection of Christ's love for His people.

From supporting me during my awkward middle school days, to sacrificing your personal time after your long days at work to spend time with me, to supporting me financially through college, to helping me pack my bags as I pursued a beautiful slice of the calling the Lord has placed on my life, you have always been there.

Although I am not a mother, I do know that motherhood can be quite difficult. I've stood witness to your times of lingering stress, restlessness, and frustrations. As I sit here and recall some of my not-so-finest moments, I want to thank you for showing me grace, even when I didn't deserve it. When I was rude, selfish and unkind you chose to love me anyway. I am forever grateful.
You sacrificed more than I'll ever be able to truly understand in order to give me the life you believed I deserved. I will never be able to thank you enough. Mom, you are my hero. •Thank you for always being honest and wisdom-filled with me, even when I didn't want to hear it. It stuck. •Thank you for encouraging me to go after what my heart was passionate about, even if that required reaching for what felt like the unreachable at times. •Thank you for raising me, loving me and letting me fly.

I am so thankful that God chose you from the very beginning to be my mother until the very end.

I am so thankful that I will always have a woman like you to thank for the woman I am. You mean everything to me.

If you are a mom, know that you were chosen for this special, irreplaceable and life-giving role by the One who chose you then and still chooses you now. He calls you by name and knew exactly what He was doing when He placed the gift of motherhood in your heart. You are purposed! It is our prayer for you today that you know just how cherished and loved you are- as a mom, sister, friend, wife and most importantly, as a daughter of the King! Happy Mother's Day to you!
