Love. This is something Jesus gives us everyday, and so often we ignore it. We love because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

Oh how He literally loves us. He is jealous of all the things we act like we love more than Him. Jesus is love and love is Jesus. Both love and Jesus never gives up. Love is full of His grace, trusts God always and cares more for others than for self.

Think about all of this. The amount of love he has for us is literally unfathomable. But honestly, we actually don't realize how much love He has for us. From our “Jesus high” moments to our most sinful moments- He loves us the exact same. I actually believe he designed us to not be able to fully comprehend how much he loves us, because then there would be no Heaven. But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)

The hardest part of love, though, is when it's our turn to love Him back, as well as loving others. I have never had a so called "enemy" in my life, but that doesn't mean that I love others like I should. We have the opportunity to choose community through prayer, encouragement and faith. Use your friendships to further His Kingdom. Use your prayer time to pray for the homeless women you saw on the side of the road. Call your grandparents and simply ask how their day was. Acts of love don’t have to be this extravagant thing (but that doesn’t mean it can’t be!). It's the little things.

Take pleasure in someone else's exciting time in their life! I sometimes compare my situation to another person's situation. And don't revel when something doesn't go as planned for them.
Love also doesn't want what it doesn't have. On top of all of this, that means the Lord gives us exactly what we need, when we need it. So don’t just be content with your life, but be joyful in it and use every circumstance, relationship and opportunity to further His Kingdom!
