I am currently attending an anti-trafficking conference in Washington DC, the content that is being covered is hard to hear and I want to pretend like this isn’t happening in our country and world, but it is. As I was listening, my heart became more and more heavy because the need for help is so high and so much ground to cover.

I began to ask God what on earth I could do because I am only one person. I was thinking that I had to fix it alone, then I walked into the ballroom and it was packed with over 750 people who were all there for the same reason and that was just a small percentage of people who have the same heart to end trafficking. God showed me that I wasn’t alone in this fight.

Sometimes, we can be guilty of thinking we are walking through life alone, facing challenges alone, fighting battles alone, healing alone, and our hearts hurt because we feel hopeless when we believe that we are doing this alone. We weren’t designed to do life alone, we were created for relationships. We become hopeless when we believe we are fighting battles and walking through life alone.

You need to know that God is always with you and there are people in the world who want to walk through life with you. There are so many people seeking relationships and desiring a community who believes in them and will stand by their side in times of trial and need. We get the opportunity to lead a movement that builds community so no-one walks through life alone.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. -Ecclesiastes 4:9-12

We need to stand with one another, fight with and for each other, encourage each other, build each other up because God has so much He wants to accomplish here on earth and we need each other to get it done. Do not walk through life alone.
