It’s been too long. From everything that’s expected of me and what I expect of myself is draining to keep up with. Passing through a week, requires me to stuff away any aches in my heart I may have. I don’t have the energy to deal with them; I don’t have time to either. The world is requiring me to keep moving – to get this done by this date, to help pack and move by this time, and the list goes on. And the wound’s that are still searching for tender mercy? No time ever seems like the right time to open my heart to healing.

But yet, as Christy Nockels sang, “No matter where I am, healing is in your hands,” is a divine truth that is spoken to us. Jesus meets us in the seasons that require us to be stronger then we have ever been, when we have to be fiercely fighting for the ones we love and for those we know who are lost. How can we ever bring Jesus’s healing to them when we cannot even find it ourselves? As we fight for others to know and see Jesus radically, we also need to fight to have extra time with our Lover. At the end of the day, when the only desire my heart’s calling out is to be comforted in rich love, Jesus is there offering all who He is. When I expected too much from myself and fail to measure up, Jesus is there speaking to me tenderly, saying that I am enough.

Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it. -Songs of Songs 8:7

Despite the season we are in nothing can quench His love for us. He desires to heal us. Open up your heart to Him, trusting that your vulnerability won’t let you fall, but will let you soar. The only way we can get through any season of our lives is when we completely and utterly rely on Jesus to take complete control over our view on things, the way we love, the way we serve, the way we worship, and who we go to when the day is done. Our desperate need for soothing comfort, for fierce devotion, for commitment… Jesus is here to invite us to Himself. Do not hold off until another day – take delight and find your daily healing in Him.
