Questioning what our purpose is in this life can come as a completely terrifying and life-altering experience for us. Especially when things are going extremely well and the enemy all of a sudden shows up on our doorstep uninvited, trying to sway our pursuit.

I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have found myself staring face to face with "Satan's 'Great' Wall of Confusion". Some days, I'll go to open my door and bam, there it is, standing between me and the light I should be chasing. It is a not-so-great wall that tries to take me away from the roots of my oh-so-great purpose. And this wall deserves nothing but destruction.

When the enemy decides to try and throw me off track, I have to take a step back to breathe in and speak out a dose of some divine, Gospel-driven truth over my being: "Beloved, you were made for the glory of God. Your purpose in this life is to know your Father and to make His name known." It's beautifully simple. And completely complex.

Part of the freedom in this life comes from accepting the unshakable truth that your role in God's story is permanent, not temporary. In other words, God is using you in the everyday of His great Kingdom plan.

Sister, you have the honor of pointing the dark, lost world around you to the Great Shepherd above. Yes, the broken, messed up sinner you are (trust me, you're not alone). You.

Part of the Good News of the Gospel is that there is purpose and new life to be found in the midst of our ashes. Have you forgotten that God makes beauty from our ashes? Rise up and walk! You've got work to do.

Again, your role in God’s story is permanent, not temporary; it’s found in the present, not the past or the future. God's Kingdom plan is moving forward everyday, and He is not One to leave you behind. I promise.

Your heart is stamped with victory and approval, dear one. Nothing can change or hinder this truth. And it's not because of anything you have done, but because of everything that Jesus did for you.
Remember Who you are living for. He is rooting for you.

Twenty-four seven. Three-six-five.
