Dear Sister,

I just want to tell you that I love your ministry. No, I am not being delusional or sarcastic. Yes, you have a ministry. I know that you have been doubting that your existence is relevant in this big world. I know you have been struggling to find your purpose. Breathe. What you are doing right now is precious and valuable in God’s sight. He has placed you right in the position where He can use you best.

Your ministry doesn’t come with fame, fortune, recognition or even likes on social media.
Your ministry is quietly powerful.
You- single girl who is waiting patiently for God to bring the right one instead of settling. You- stay at home mom who sacrifices everything for the wellbeing of your family. You- girl who is always offering a listening ear and shoulder to cry on, even when it isn’t reciprocated. You-wife who is selflessly serving her husband the way the Lord has instructed. You- who is loving people and letting your light shine through your smile and warm disposition. You-overwhelmed, hardworking single mother.

Do not let this world fool you into thinking that the simplicity of your ministry is insufficient or insignificant. Your labor is not in vain. You are seen by our Heavenly Father. And He is carrying out His perfect plan to use you as an instrument in this bittersweet symphony called life. Whatever task- big or small- that He has called you to, own it.

Pledge to stop falling victim to comparing your ministry to the ones that seem more influential around you. Be the best that you can be in the position that He has placed you in. Whether it be a family member, friend, or stranger, someone in this world needs exactly what you have to offer.

When you accept your ministry as an essential part of God’s plan, He will open your eyes to the way in which He is seeking to use you. God uses ordinary people in extraordinary ways.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.
-Colossians 3:23
