Daily Delight

We hear the sleigh bells ringing, the children are all in delight; as Christmas Day is fast approaching and Santa comes tonight!

Our halls are decked with holly, the lights they shine so bright; the gifts they are so pretty, all wrapped up nice 'n tight.

Our stockings are hung on the chimney, under the mantel where, the manger scene is in its special place, we always put it there.

Where baby Jesus lay swaddled, upon a bed of hay; for the night he was born, gave meaning to the day.

For on this very special day, many years ago, it all began with the Spirit of God and not a “Ho, Ho,

A baby born of a virgin, in a small town Bethlehem, where the angels descended from Heaven, singing joyful-angelic hymns.

For it was surely a night to remember, that night so long ago, the birth of our living Savior, the whole world shall come to know.

As the Good news traveled many scurried on their way, to meet the newborn King whom would rule this very day.

As a bright and shining star guided wise men from afar, bringing forth the finest gifts; it was Jesus they were there for.

So from this day we celebrate, it comes and goes so fast; if only we take the time to recognize that Jesus is all that lasts.

As we look into the sky at night, it is one star that shines so bright;
High above all glimmer we see, to bring a reminder of what is to come, and what is to be.

This time is “Christmas” of which we speak; the birth of our Savior, and a Mighty King.
So on this next morning when we all awake, it’s a birthday in fact, that we all celebrate; singing

“Happy Birthday to Jesus” should be first and before, for our Salvation is the greatest gift already given from our Lord.

May each of us all forever keep sight, the meaning that took place this very special night.

May God bless you all, and to all a Good night.
