“Love” is such a powerful word. We say it. We mean it. ...but do we really know the power behind it? Let’s talk about love... There are three core characteristics in walking with Christ: faith, hope and love. And God tells us out the three that the greatest is love. Love is powerful. So let’s talk about love…

Love never fails when we love the way God teaches us to love. In Mark 12:29-30, Jesus tells us how we are to love our God; (30)"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength." (NIV) Not just “some”. Not just half-heartedly. But all.
Loving God should not be burdensome. As we walk closer in our relationship with Him, it should become consistent and natural. He did not say it would be easy. But He did say it would be the most important of all commandments. Because loving God in this way, covers all intent of all 10 Commandments. It comes down to 2 principles:

Love God
Love others

When we love God with ALL of our heart, soul, mind, and strength- everything else falls into place. We naturally love others because we are overflowing with our love for Christ.
Matthew 12:34 "from the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." Jesus says this command is "above all". Love summarizes all of God's laws. That's why it is so important to express love in the way God defines love:

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Love conquers all.

When you are uncertain about what to do, ask yourself "which action would best demonstrate my love for God?" Love never fails when we love the way God teaches us to love.

Fulfill your day by demonstrating God’s love today! And tell your Heavenly Father you love Him!
