We live in a fallen world where hardships, challenges, and trials are a part of life, but we don't have to live our lives in fear, guilt, condemnation, or anxiety.

On the Cross, Jesus said, "It is finished” (John 19:30). Understanding the truth of what Jesus did by paying our ransom and calling it finished should already help us walk in victory, no matter what the storm. God's Word says, "I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33, NLT).

Living a victorious life does not mean we live without hardship, it just means we have grounded ourselves so deep in the truth of God's Word and His promises that it becomes intertwined with the very fiber and thread of our being.
Active faith in pursuing Jesus becomes the anchor that keeps us from falling over in doubt and despair.

God understands our pain. He knows our fears, challenges, and failures, but He doesn't want us wallowing in them, and He doesn't define us by them either. He sees us righteous, holy, set apart, and chosen because of His Son. He encourages us in His Word and by His Spirit to walk victoriously, with the armor of God on fighting all of our battles on our knees in prayer and in His strength.

"His strength is made perfect in our weakness.” -2 Corinthians 12:9

The young shepherd boy David experienced many trials and challenges. His faith was tested. He could have given up, but he chose to conquer his fear by faith. He chose to rise above in God's strength. When up against the giant Goliath, David responded in faith by saying, "You come to me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come to you in the name of the LORD of Heaven's Armies—the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied" (1 Samuel 17:45, NLT).
Sisters, nothing has changed. We, too, can respond in the same manner when we are facing trials. David's faith caused him to win the battle. When we have Christ, we have everything we need to conquer our fears and win our own personal battles.
