The moment we accept Jesus as our Savior, a monumental spiritual breakthrough occurs: all of Heaven rejoices as our name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life, and we enter into a spiritual war zone. We have now become a threat to the enemy because "He that is in us, is greater than he that is in the world" (1 John 4:4, NIV).

I wish I could tell you that accepting Jesus meant a life without troubles or trials. I wish I could tell you that your journey would begin with clarity and absolutely no interference. But friends, that's simply not true. God's Word tells us that, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world" (John 16:33, NIV).

Today I feel exhausted. I'm a little overwhelmed, and I need rest. Life has not gone the way I expected, and oddly enough, I'm thankful for that. In Ephesians 6, we are reminded to put on the armor of God and that our struggles are not against flesh and blood. When l face trials, I'm forced to reexamine my situation, my heart, and my priorities. I am keenly aware of my need for God. I acknowledge and remind myself that admitting my inadequacies does not admit defeat, It just means I need to rely on His strength and guidance.

"If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness." -2 Corinthians 11:30 (NIV)
"But He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." -2 Corinthians 12:9 (NIV)

Sisters, let's acknowledge that life doesn't always go the way we had planned or expected, but that doesn't mean we should give up. We don't have to worry about life's trials, we have victory in Jesus and access to His supernatural peace and provision and comfort.

God has a great plan for our lives. He's the only One who can turn a bad situation into good and for His glory. Nothing is impossible for Him.
