Hi, I’m Elle!

Hi! I’m Elle Cardel (yep, it rhymes!), a sinner saved by God’s great redeeming love and grace, wife to my college sweetheart, Michael, and mother to our beautiful daughter, Selah. I was born and raised in the south and live in the heart of middle Tennessee with my wonderful family. (Although, some may find that hard to believe since I cannot stand the taste of sweet tea.) 

I’m a full-time coffee-sipper, word-writer, friend-hugger, book-reader, shower-singer, and DIY-dreamer. Most importantly, I delight in encouraging women of faith to be proactive in their pursuit of knowing God and delighting in the truths of His Word. I do not take this responsibility God has entrusted to me lightly. Needless to say, I’m so glad you are here and hope you will choose to stick around!

Statement of Belief

“I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; on the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from whence he shall come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the one holy church both visible and invisible, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. We believe in one God, Who is the creator of all things. (Deuteronomy 6:4, Colossians 1:16)

We believe there is one God, eternal and self-existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit—who are to be equally loved, honored, and adored. (Genesis 1:26-27, 1 Peter 1:2)

We believe the Bible is the inspired and inerrant Word of God, the only infallible rule of faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe all of mankind participated in Adam’s fall from his original sinless state and is thus lost in sin and totally helpless. (Genesis 1:27)

We believe God sent His son, Jesus Christ—born of the virgin Mary—to live a sinless and exemplary life and to ultimately sacrifice His life on the cross in exchange for our sins. (Matthew 1:18, 1 John 4:19, Romans 3:25)

We believe Christ rose from the dead to prove His victory and empower us for life. (Luke 24:1-8)

We believe Christ is the way, the truth and the life; that He is the only one who can restore our relationship with God. (John 14:6)

We believe salvation is a gift from God to man and can only be found through Jesus Christ. We are saved by grace through faith, not by our own good deeds but through Jesus’ righteousness and shed blood on the cross. (Ephesians 2:8-10)

We believe The Holy Spirit lives in us from the moment we receive salvation. We believe The Holy Spirit provides Christians with the power for living, spiritual wisdom, and guidance in doing what is right. (2 Corinthians 3:17, John 16: 7-13)

We believe God has individually equipped us to serve a special role in His Kingdom-come plan and that we are to fulfill it through a life of worship. (2 Timothy 1:89, Matthew 28:19, Romans 12:1-2)

We believe Jesus Christ will return to earth, visibly and bodily, at a time when He is not expected, to consummate history and the eternal plan of God. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Matthew 24:36, John 14:3)
