Her Highest Calling: Discovering Your God-Given Purpose as a Woman
What is my purpose? It’s a question that echoes through every season of life.
As women, the world offers endless (and often exhausting) answers—be successful, be independent, be beautiful, be everything to everyone. We feel pressure to “do it all”—to be the perfect wife, mom, ministry leader, friend, homemaker, professional, and more.
But Scripture tells us something the world never will:
Your highest calling isn’t a role—it’s a relationship. Your ultimate purpose isn’t found in doing but in belonging.
“You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body.” —1 Corinthians 6:19b–20
You were bought with the precious blood of Christ—not so you could strive to earn your place, but so you could rest in His. You belong to Him. And because you belong, your purpose is already secure: to glorify God, right where you are.
Purpose Found in the Everyday
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” —1 Corinthians 10:31
Every moment—whether seen or unseen—can become an offering of worship.
Even in the quiet, mundane tasks, if your heart is set on Christ, you are living out your highest calling.
He is not glorified by how much you accomplish, but by the posture of your heart.
Seasons Change, But Your Calling Remains
In His mercy, God has entrusted each of us with unique assignments for His purposes.
Our roles and seasons may look different, but none of them are ultimate.
They are all beautiful expressions of a greater calling: to live for the glory of God.
So, whether we’re wiping counters, holding babies, or bearing the burdens of a weary friend, our womanhood becomes worship when we reflect His glory.
It’s Not About Being Everything—It’s About Belonging
This is the beauty of our calling:
It’s not about being everything.
It’s about belonging to the One who is.
So, whether the day feels full or unseen, loud or lonely—worship Him in it.
Rest in His grace.
Walk in His truth.
And let your life, however ordinary it may seem, echo His glory.
Reflect
What does it look like for your womanhood to reflect God's glory in this current season of life?
How can you intentionally worship God in the “ordinary” moments of your day today?
