The words of our writers are truly the heartbeat of this ministry!
Every three months, Daughter of Delight takes on a team of women to write a devotional one day a week, every week. We are honored to share the stories of these women as God uses them to bless and breathe life into the heart of this ministry. Meet our June-September 2025 writing team below!

Deepshikha Seymour
Mondays
Deepshikha is a passionate worshiper and creative who loves Jesus deeply. She finds joy in expressing her faith through words, art, and worship. Her heart beats to encourage others in their walk with God. Whether creating or praising, she seeks to glorify Christ in all she does.

Rasha Gardner
Rasha Gardner
Rasha is a licensed mental health therapist and mama who knows that clinging to Jesus in the thick of motherhood is essential. She lives in the Midwest with her husband and children and does her best to soak up the sweet, fleeting days with her little ones.
She writes at @heldinthehard, a space (think online journal!) where gospel truth meets real life—motherhood, mental health, and all the in-betweens. You can also find her sharing mental health tips, hope, and encouragement over on her professional Instagram at @rashagardnercounseling.
Fun facts:
I first wrote for Daughter of Delight back in 2020.
I create social media content and designs in my “spare” time for other accounts.
I have always dreamed of being a cowgirl. While I wouldn’t claim the title, life on my little homestead—gardening, raising chickens, and living close to the land—feels about as close as I’ll get!

Claudia Stehr
Wednesdays
Claudia is a daughter redeemed by Jesus Christ. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband Sam. Claudia loves music, long walks and hikes, coffee chats with friends, and allll the dogs. She also loves Philadelphia sports #gobirds
Claudia has a heart for leading and discipling young women, and served in the ministries of Cru and Young Life. She loves writing, and she deeply believes in the importance of encouragement and refreshment found in communicating, sharing, and teaching God’s Word.

Kara Kistner
Thursdays
Kara is a writer, former therapeutic foster parent, and current advocate for the foster care system who creates space for women navigating faith in the harder places—church hurt, grief, transition, and spiritual healing. Her words are rooted in Scripture and steeped in honesty, gently guiding readers back to the goodness of God even when everything feels uncertain. Kara is passionate about helping others hold on to hope, honor their emotions, and rediscover Jesus outside of performance.
Fun facts:
My husband, Austin, and I have been foster parents for four years, and our hearts are fully in it—standing in the gap for kids and families in crisis has shaped the way we live and serve.
When we’re not fostering or serving, you’ll find us exploring new places, trying new foods, and hanging out with our golden retriever, Macy.
Around here we are huge Eagles fans! Go Birds!

Kelley Spencer
Fridays
Kelley is a Christian author, mental health advocate, and the mother of two boys (and one in Heaven) living in Minnesota. She loves tacos, pizza, walks on the beach, and staying active. Kelley is most at peace outside in nature, digging her hands in the dirt, hiking a trail, or exploring a new area. Kelley graduated from Concordia University - St. Paul with a Bachelor's in Communication Studies and Journalism. Kelley’s writing appears in The Mighty, Her View From Home, Dayspring, Living by Design Ministries, and Focus on the Family. She has God-sized dreams of publishing multiple books and bible studies. Connect with her on kelleyspencer.com or Substack.
Kelley's mission is to shine God's light in the darkness of mental health struggles, talk about the stigmas that exist in the Church, bring awareness to difficult topics of trauma, self-harm, and suicide, and show others who God is and how to run towards Him when hardship arises.
Fun facts:
I have chased a number of passions, working as a hairstylist and makeup artist, digital marketing coordinator, kids' ministry leader, stay-at-home mother, and now, Christian author.
I met my husband at age 15 through mutual friends at the movie theater.
I am a beach girl at heart and always will be. I grew up far from the ocean (land of 10,000 lakes), but moved to Clearwater, FL, for a five-year adventure and then moved back to Minnesota to be close to family.

Shannah Goodman
Saturdays
Shannah is a devoted wife and homemaker who lives in Florida with her husband and their children: boy/girl twins, Jude and Opal, and baby Esther. Her life with three under three is beautifully chaotic—full of joy, noise, messes, and constant reminders of her deep need for Jesus.
She loves cooking from scratch, thrifting for vintage treasures, hosting others in her home, and singing praises to the Lord. She is passionate about encouraging other women to cling to Jesus by anchoring their hearts in the truths and promises of His Word.
Fun facts:
I have 3 children, Jude, Opal, & Esther. Jude & Opal are 3-year-old boy/girl twins and Esther is my 4-month-old baby girl.
I’m a lover of all things vintage and old-fashioned.
I enjoy singing, cooking, thrifting, and hosting!

Liezl Roux
Sundays
Liezl is a South African-born Aussie, wife to the man of God she once prayed for, and mama to two Jesus-loving littles who keep her on her toes and on her knees. Somewhere between school runs, managing projects, and her household, she’s learning — again and again — who she is in Christ, and finding that grace shows up right in the mess.
Her greatest desire? That her words carry heaven’s breath—that, like the woman with the little jar of oil in 2 Kings 4, God would multiply what she offers in faith and obedience to overflow into the lives of many.
Fun facts:
When I carve out time (or stumble upon it), I love painting quiet landscapes with watercolours—it slows me down in all the right ways.
Ever since I was five, I’ve been obsessed with flowers and have always dreamed of learning the art of floristry. (Note to self: it’s never too late to chase that passion!). The closest I’ve come so far is making my own wedding bouquet, which still makes me smile.
I find joy tucked into the simplest corners of my day: watching the sunrise and enjoying the stillness of the morning; twirling with my kids in the dining room; breathing in the sweetness of nature; listening to birds overhead; and cooking to jazz or worship music.
